She was a ‘skinny-fat smoker who only ate two meals a day’. Shocking, considering she now consistently eats 5-6 meals a day.
It’s obvious from Fatima’s physique that she devotes time in the gym for both cardio and lifting weights. But did you know that for exercise she used to ‘head down to the local gym, do the weight machine circuit maybe twice, and then join her sister for a step class’?
Here is the kicker: Her post workout meal was a CIGARETTE!! We were just as shocked as you! Now this Oxygen Fitness Model tops her workouts off with a lean protein source & starchy carb meal.
WHAT HELPED FATIMA START HER FIRST STEPS TOWARD A HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE?
Oxygen magazine. She followed an Oxygen magazine weight and cardio routine so she could get bikini ready for a trip to Hawaii. This was the FIRST time she ever saw muscle definition in her arms! Now her pipes can’t be missed.
Fatima continued with her journey and quit smoking. She has been cigarette free for 12 years! This is a great accomplishment (and it was ‘cold turkey’ - impressive).
Today, Fatima Leite Kusch has her own online training system called FitnessPrint and she’s also the coach for TEAM BLESSED BODIES, her competitive fitness clients.
So in case you didn’t think you could change, think of Fatima when times get tough. It can be done and not everyone in the fitness industry was always ‘fit’.

This is some sage advice!  Especially for those of us that are planning on spending our summers at the beach and outdoors in general, where sometimes it is too inconvenient to carry around a cooler for food, particularly if you do not drive!

Just because it’s beach season does not mean that a bag of Doritos and some fish and chips or a burger should lure you away from your healthy eating.  If you don’t have the time to pack a picnic, there are many take out options.  Some of my favs:
Brown rice sushi
Wholefoods salad bar
Mexican take out (I normally get a tofu taco salad with corn and black beans)
For all of you meat eaters out there, pick up a rotisserie chicken from places such as Nandos or from your local market
Fish stands that offer grilled or raw options
Grilled chicken burger wrapped in lettuce

Zain’s Supercharged Solar Eclipse Smoothie:

Harness the energy of the solar eclipse with this energized smoothie made with eclipse charged water and a rich blend of sun kissed fruits and power foods.

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup Solar Eclipse Charged Water (fill a dark bottle with purified water and leave outside for at least 2 hours today - you can charge more water if you wish)

1/2 Cup Unsweetened Cashew Milk OR Almond OR Flax Milk

11/2 Cups Ripe Mango

1 Tbsp Cashew Butter

1 Tbsp Raw Manuka 25+ Honey OR your choice of sweetener

1/2 Frozen Banana

1 Cup Kale (optional)

15g Chia Seeds

Directions:

1. Blend all ingredients in magic bullet or food processor, serve cold

I used the following recipe. I didn’t have everything on hand, so I improvised, aaand THEY’RE FUCKING AMAZING. The cookies & cream flavor made up for any sweetness that vanilla extract would add. I probably could’ve cut down on the actual sugar as well. I don’t know, I’m always trying to tweak things.
CLEAN EATING CHOCOLATE BROWNIES
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup Oatmeal
3 tbsp Coconut Oil (preferably Organic) Canola Oil
1/2 cup Stevia
1/3 cup Plain, Nonfat Greek Yogurt
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/4 cup Unsweetened Baking Cocoa
1/4 cup Chocolate protein powder (preferably casein) Ultimate Muscle protein powder in Cookies & Cream (all I had)
1 Egg and 1 White
1/3 cup Dark Chocolate Chips or Nuts (optional)
DIRECTIONS
1. Mix dry ingredients together2. Mix wet ingredients together3. Combine everything together4. Put in 8 X 8 pan5. Heat Oven at 350 for about 20 minutes.6. These can be stored in the freezer if you cannot eat all at once or want to space out eating proportions.

Part of this recipe is from The Eat-Clean Diet Cookbooks. First, I made yogurt cheese (strained yogurt) but one day I experimented with my sugar-free jello and it tasted and had the consistency of cheesecake! Yogurt Cheesecake DessertWhat you need:

cheese cloth
